Potatoes are widely used to prepare side dishes to be served with any main course dish of your choice, apart from preparing snacks and bakes. It’s a staple food item of any cuisine, though its excess use is not regarded healthy. It is high in glycemic index. If served in optimal quantities, potatoes, rich in starch/carbohydrates are energy givers.
