Beetroot – Potato Curry

Ingredients for Beetroot – Potato Curry:

1. Beet root – 4

    Potatoes – 4

2. Oil -2 big spoons

3. Onions – 2, chopped

4. Ginger – 1 piece, chopped fine

    Garlic – 3 cloves, chopped fine

    Green chillies – 3, end split

5. Red chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon

    Salt – For taste

6. Tomatoes – 2, finely chopped

7. Curry leaves – 2 stalks

How to prepare Beetroot – Potato Curry?

1. Wash potatoes and beetroot and cook them as a whole in a pressure cooker.

2. Allow the pressure to drop to zero.

3. Open the lid, and remove the skin of potatoes and beetroot.

4. Now cut into big square pieces.

5. Heat the oil and sauté the onions first.

6. Before the colour changes, ingredients no: 4.

7. Add ingredients no: 5 and sauté for 2 minutes.

8. Now add tomatoes and sauté again.

9. When a layer of oil appears, add cooked potatoes and beetroot.

10. Add sufficient water and boil on a low flame for the next 10 minutes.

11. Check salt and add if extra needed. Turn off the flame.
