Beetroot – Potato Curry

Ingredients for Beetroot – Potato Curry:

1. Beet root – 4

    Potatoes – 4

2. Oil -2 big spoons

3. Onions – 2, chopped

4. Ginger – 1 piece, chopped fine

    Garlic – 3 cloves, chopped fine

    Green chillies – 3, end split

5. Red chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon

    Salt – For taste

6. Tomatoes – 2, finely chopped

7. Curry leaves – 2 stalks

How to prepare Beetroot – Potato Curry?

1. Wash potatoes and beet root and cook as whole in a pressure cooker.

2. Allow the pressure to drop to zero.

3. Open the lid, and remove the skin of potatoes and beet root.

4. Now cut into big square pieces.

5. Heat oil and sauté onions first.

6. Before the colour changes, ingredients no: 4.

7. Add ingredients no: 5 and sauté for 2 minutes.

8. Now add tomatoes and sauté again.

9. When a layer of oil of appears, add cooked potatoes and beet root.

10. Add sufficient water and boil in low flame for next 10 minutes.

11. Check salt and add if extra needed. Put off the flame.
