Potato Cheese Balls recipe

Ingredients for Potato Cheese Balls:

  1. Boiled potatoes – 2
  2. Cheese – 1 slice
  3. Pepper powder – 1 small spoon
    Salt – ¾ small spoon
  4. Oil – For frying

How to prepare Potato Cheese Balls?

  1. Smash cooked potatoes to make a fine paste. (Never use a mixer)
  2. Grate the cheese in a bowl.
  3. Add potato, salt, and pepper, and mix them well.
  4. Make small potato balls and deep fry in hot oil.
  5. Balls should be golden brown.
  6. You can serve potato cheese balls with tomato sauce.

Creamy Potato Cheese Balls

Ingredients for Creamy Potato Cheese Balls:

  1. Potato – 2 large, diced
  2. Fresh cream – 1 tbsp
    Crushed dried red chili – 1 tsp
    Garlic powder – ½ tsp
    Coriander leaves paste – 2 tsp
    Salt – as required
  3. Mozzarella cheese – 40 cubes, cut into ½ inch pieces
  4. All-purpose flour – 1 cup
  5. Egg – 1 to 2 large, lightly beaten
  6. Bread crumbs – 1½ cups
  7. Oil – as required for frying

How to prepare Creamy Potato Cheese Balls?

  1. Place the potatoes in a pan, pour enough cold water to cover and add salt as required.
  2. Cook uncovered on medium flame for 20 minutes. Drain and mash well.
  3. Add ingredients no: 2 and mix well. Allow to cool.
  4. When cooled, take 2 tbsp of the mixture at a time and roll into balls.
  5. Flatten slightly on the palm, place a cheese cube in the centre, and cover well.
  6. Coat each ball in all-purpose flour, dip in beaten egg and roll in bread crumbs.
  7. Deep fry in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Serve with sauce.
