Potato Pulao

Ingredients for Potato Pulao:

1. Basmati rice – 2 cups

2. Oil – As needed

3. Cumin seeds – 1.5 small spoons

4. Onions – 2, small

    Green chillies – 3

    Ginger – 1-inch piece

5. Coriander leaves – A handful

    Curry leaves – 2 stalks

6. Potato – 5, medium sized, cut into small square pieces

    Cumin powder – 2 small spoons

7. Garam masala powder – 2 small spoons

8. Salt – For taste

    Lemon juice – From 1.5 lemons

9. Coriander leaves chopped – 2 small spoons

How to prepare Potato Pulao?

1. Cook rice and strain excess water.

2. Heat oil and fry cumin seeds.

3. Chop ingredients no: 4, and saute with cumin seeds.

4. Add coriander leaves and curry leaves, followed by potatoes and cumin powder.

5. Close the lid and cook potato in low flame.

6. When potatoes are well cooked, add cooked rice and garam masala powder.

7. Add salt and lemon juice and mix the contents well.

8. Sprinkle coriander leaves on top and serve.
