
Ingredients for Peechinga – Chemmen Curry (Ridge Gourd – Prawns Curry):
- Prawns – ¼ kg
- Ginger chopped – 1 small spoon
Green chillies – 2, sliced
Salt and turmeric – As needed - Ridge gourd cut into pieces after removing its edges – 1
- Coconut grated – ½
Turmeric powder – A little - Coconut oil – As required
- Mustard – ¼ small spoon
Shallots – 2, sliced
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
How to prepare Peechinga – Chemmen Curry (Ridge Gourd – Prawns Curry)?
- Make a fine paste of coconut and turmeric powder.
- Cook prawns, adding ingredients no: 2.
- When prawns are almost cooked, add cut ridge gourd pieces.
- When the contents are well-cooked, add coconut paste.
- Wait for the contents to thicken, and take from the flame.
- Heat coconut oil in a pan, sauté ingredients no: 6 and add to the curry.
