Peechinga – Chemmen Curry (Ridge Gourd – Prawns Curry)

Ingredients for Peechinga – Chemmen Curry (Ridge Gourd – Prawns Curry):

1. Prawns – ¼ kg

2. Ginger chopped – 1 small spoon

    Green chillies – 2, sliced

    Salt and turmeric – As needed

3. Ridge gourd cut to pieces after removing its edges – 1

4. Coconut scrapped – ½

    Turmeric powder – A little

5. Coconut oil – As required

6. Mustard – ¼ small spoon

    Shallots – 2, sliced

    Curry leaves – 1 sprig

How to prepare Peechinga – Chemmen Curry (Ridge Gourd – Prawns Curry)?

1. Make a fine paste of coconut and turmeric powder.

2. Cook prawns adding ingredients no: 2.

3. When prawns are almost cooked, add cut ridge gourd pieces.

4. When the contents are well cooked, add coconut paste.

5. Wait for contents to thicken, and take from flame.

6. Heat coconut oil in a pan, sauté ingredients no: 6 and add to the curry.
