
Ingredients for Prawns Batter Fry (Chemmeen Batter Fry):
- Prawns – 500g
- All-purpose Flour – ¾ Cup
Cornflour – ¾ Cup - White Pepper Powder – 2 Pinches
Salt – As Required
Celery/Coriander Leaves (Chopped) – 4 Small Spoons
Baking Soda – 3 Pinches - Egg White – From 2 Eggs
- Oil – As Required for Frying
How to prepare Prawns Batter Fry (Chemmeen Batter Fry)?
- Clean and prepare the prawns.
- Mix the all-purpose flour and cornflour thoroughly.
- Add the third set of ingredients and mix well.
- Beat the egg whites until frothy and gently incorporate them into the mixture.
- Before the batter settles, dip the prawns in the mixture and deep fry in hot oil until crispy.
