
Ingredients for Dry Prawns with Mango (Unakka Chemmeen Maanga Koottu):
- Coconut oil – As required
- Shallots chopped fine – ¼ cup
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs - Dried prawns cleaned – ¾ cup
- Chilli powder – 1 small spoon
Salt – For taste - Green mango – 3 or 4, sliced thin
Chilli powder – 1 small spoon
Coconut oil and salt – As required
How to prepare Dry Prawns with Mango (Unakka Chemmeen Maanga Koottu)?
- Heat oil and fry shallots and curry leaves.
- Filter fried shallots and curry leaves from oil using a spatula, and add a small spoonful of oil.
- Deep fry prawns till they are crispy.
- Add chilli powder and salt and mix well.
- Add fried curry leaves and shallots, mix well, and turn off the flame.
- Mix ingredients no: 5 in a serving plate.
- Add half the quantity of fried prawns to it and toss it well.
- Sprinkle the remaining fried prawns on top and serve.
