Ingredients for Curry Veppila Yera (Prawns Fry with Curry Leaves):
- Prawns – 300 gms
- Rice flour – 2 small spoons
Bengal gram – 1 big spoon
Corn flour – 2 small spoons
Ginger-garlic paste – 2 small spoons
Chilli powder – 1.5 small spoons
Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon
Beaten egg – ½
Lemon juice – From 2 lemons - Oil – For frying
- Curry leaves – 2 spoons, fried and powdered
How to prepare Curry Veppila Yera (Prawns Fry with Curry Leaves)?
- Clean prawns. But don’t remove its tail.
- Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2.
- Marinate prawns using this paste and allow them to rest for a while.
- Wrap each prawn in curry leaf powder and deep fry in hot oil.
