prawn curry leaves fry - Curry Veppila Yera

Ingredients for Curry Veppila Yera (Prawns Fry with Curry Leaves):

  1. Prawns – 300 gms
  2. Rice flour – 2 small spoons
    Bengal gram – 1 big spoon
    Corn flour – 2 small spoons
    Ginger-garlic paste – 2 small spoons
    Chilli powder – 1.5 small spoons
    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon
    Beaten egg – ½
    Lemon juice – From 2 lemons
  3. Oil – For frying
  4. Curry leaves – 2 spoons, fried and powdered

How to prepare Curry Veppila Yera (Prawns Fry with Curry Leaves)?

  1. Clean prawns. But don’t remove its tail.
  2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2.
  3. Marinate prawns using this paste and allow them to rest for a while.
  4. Wrap each prawn in curry leaf powder and deep fry in hot oil.
