Ragi Dishes

Finger millet, best known as Ragi in Indian context is a cereal crop, widely accepted as healthy and nutritious. Mostly used as grain for main course items, it’s also added as an ingredient in the preparation of many healthy dishes like Dosa, steam cake, idi, bread, porridge and pudding. Most commonly consumed as porridge, it’s also given to infants as a healthy food. It’s also consumed with milk, curd etc in powdered liquid form. High in iron and calcium, it’s also added to soups and curries. Most of the south Indian breakfast items prepared using rice, you can partially or fully substitute with ragi powder.
