Kozhi Mulak (Chicken with Chillies) in Chettinad Style
Ingredients for Kozhi Mulak (Chicken with Chillies) in Chettinad Style:
1. Chicken boneless – 300 gm
2. Oil – 50 milli
3. Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom – 5 gm, together
Fennel seeds – 1 small spoon
Onions chopped fine – 150 gm
Curry leaves chopped – 1 big spoon
4. Ginger-garlic paste – 4 small spoons
5. Tomato chopped fine – 250 gm
6. Pepper powder – 3.5 big spoons
7. Salt – For taste
8. Curry leaves fried – To decorate
How to prepare Kozhi Mulak (Chicken with Chillies) in Chettinad Style?
1. Clean chicken, cut into pieces and keep aside.
2. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 3.
3. When onions turn golden brown, add ginger-garlic paste and sauté again.
4. Add tomatoes and sauté again, followed by pepper and salt.
5. Add chicken and cook it well.
6. When it’s done, put off the flame and decorate with fried curry leaves.
