Avoli Special Fry (Pomfret Special Fry)

Ingredients for Avoli Special Fry (Pomfret Special Fry):

1. Avoli (Pomfret fish) – 3

2. Coriander leaves chopped fine – 1 cup

    Garlic – 5 or 6 cloves

    Green chillies – 2 or 3, split into two

    Lemon juice – ½ cup

    Salt – As required

3. Oil – For frying

4. Lemon pieces, onion rings and green chillies split into two or four – To decorate

How to prepare Avoli Special Fry (Pomfret Special Fry)?

1. Clean the fish, cut off the tail and make 3 or 4 deep cuts in its flesh on either side.

2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2 and marinate the fish.

3. Allow the marinated fish to rest for at least half an hour.

4. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the fish till it turns brown colour.

5. Place the fried fishes in kitchen towel to absorb excess oil.

6. Decorate the fish with ingredients no: 4 and serve hot.
