
Ingredients for Masala Prawns:
- Prawns – ¾ kg
- Red chilli powder – 2 small spoons
Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon
Ginger-garlic paste – 2 big spoons
Salt – For taste - Coconut oil – 4 big spoons
- Shallots – ¼ kg, chopped
Green chillies – 3, end split
Curry leaves – 2 or 3 stalks - Ginger-garlic crushed – 1 big spoon
- Chilli powder – ½ small spoon
Coriander powder – ½ small spoon
Fennel seeds – 1 small spoon - Salt – For preparation
Sugar – ¼ small spoon - Lemon juice – From 1 lemon
How to prepare Masala Prawns?
- Clean prawns. But don’t remove its tail part.
- Marinate prawns with ingredients no: 2 and allow to rest for 1 hour.
- Heat oil, increase the flame to high level, and fry prawns for 1 minute. Keep them aside.
- In the remaining oil, sauté ingredients no: 4.
- When it turns light brown, add crushed ginger-garlic and sauté it well.
- Add ingredients no: 6 and fry well.
- Add salt and sugar.
- Add fried prawns to it and increase the flame.
- Add lemon juice and cook for 1 more minute with the lid closed.
- Take off from flame. Don’t open the lid for a few minutes.
- After that, you can open the lid and serve.
