Masala Prawns recipe

Ingredients for Masala Prawns:

  1. Prawns – ¾ kg
  2. Red chilli powder – 2 small spoons
    Turmeric powder – 1/2 small spoon
    Ginger-garlic paste – 2 big spoons
    Salt – For taste
  3. Coconut oil – 4 big spoons
  4. Shallots – ¼ kg, chopped
    Green chillies – 3, end split
    Curry leaves – 2 or 3 stalks
  5. Ginger-garlic crushed – 1 big spoon
  6. Chilli powder – ½ small spoon
    Coriander powder – ½ small spoon
    Fennel seeds – 1 small spoon
  7. Salt – For preparation
    Sugar – ¼ small spoon
  8. Lemon juice – From 1 lemon

How to prepare Masala Prawns?

  1. Clean prawns. But don’t remove its tail part.
  2. Marinate prawns with ingredients no: 2 and allow to rest for 1 hour.
  3. Heat oil, increase the flame to high level, and fry prawns for 1 minute. Keep them aside.
  4. In the remaining oil, sauté ingredients no: 4.
  5. When it turns light brown, add crushed ginger-garlic and sauté it well.
  6. Add ingredients no: 6 and fry well.
  7. Add salt and sugar.
  8. Add fried prawns to it and increase the flame.
  9. Add lemon juice and cook for 1 more minute with the lid closed.
  10. Take off from flame. Don’t open the lid for a few minutes.
  11. After that, you can open the lid and serve.
