Maampazha Ada recipe

Ingredients for Mango Ada (Maampazha Ada):

  1. Rice flour – 1 cup
  2. Boiled water – As needed
    Salt – A little
  3. Jaggery powder – ¼ cup
  4. Coconut grated – ¼ cup
  5. Mango fruit cut into small pieces – 1 cup
  6. Banana leaves – As needed
    Coconut oil – A little

How to prepare Mango Ada (Maampazha Ada)?

  1. Add salt and boiled water to the rice flour.
  2. Prepare the dough with the consistency of  idiyappam’s.
  3. Melt jaggery, add coconut, and keep aside.
  4. Grease banana leaf pieces with oil.
  5. Spread the dough as a thin layer on banana leaves.
  6. Place the coconut-jaggery mixture in one half of the batter.
  7.  In the other half, put mango pieces and fold the leaf.
  8. Continue the process till all mango adas are prepared.
  9. Steam cook for 10 minutes.
