
Ingredients for Mango Ada (Maampazha Ada):
- Rice flour – 1 cup
- Boiled water – As needed
Salt – A little - Jaggery powder – ¼ cup
- Coconut grated – ¼ cup
- Mango fruit cut into small pieces – 1 cup
- Banana leaves – As needed
Coconut oil – A little
How to prepare Mango Ada (Maampazha Ada)?
- Add salt and boiled water to the rice flour.
- Prepare the dough with the consistency of idiyappam’s.
- Melt jaggery, add coconut, and keep aside.
- Grease banana leaf pieces with oil.
- Spread the dough as a thin layer on banana leaves.
- Place the coconut-jaggery mixture in one half of the batter.
- In the other half, put mango pieces and fold the leaf.
- Continue the process till all mango adas are prepared.
- Steam cook for 10 minutes.
