Ingredients for Fried Coconut Chutney :
1. Coconut oil – 1 tsp
2. Urud Daal (Black gram) – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 stalk
Red chillies – 4
3. Onions finely chopped – ¼ cup
4. Coconut grated – ¼ cup
5. Salt – As needed
6. Tamarind – gooseberry-sized
Method of preparation of Fried Coconut Chutney :
- Heat oil and fry ingredients no.2.
- Add onions and sauté well. Then add coconut and fry till light brown.
- When the coconut turns red, turn the flame off.
- Add tamarind and salt to this mixture and grind well in a mixer without adding water.
