Easter Special Fish Curry

Ingredients for Easter Special Fish Curry:

1. Seer fish (Neymeen)/Mullet (Kanamb)/Grey Mullet (Thirutha) – 1 kg

2. Coconut – 1

3. Coconut oil – As needed

4. Mustard – 1 small spoon

5. Onion – 2, sliced thin

    Green chillies – 4 or 5, split

    Ginger – 1 piece, crushed

    Garlic – 4 or 5 cloves, crushed

    Curry leaves – As needed

6. Coriander powder – 4 small spoons

    Chilli powder – 3 small spoons

    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

    Fish masala – 2 small spoons

    Salt – As needed

7. Green mango – 2, chopped lengthwise

    Pot tamarind – 2 or 3 cloves

8. Shallots – 10, chopped

    Chilli powder – ¼ small spoon

    Curry leaves – A little

How to prepare Easter Special Fish Curry?

1. Cut fish into small pieces and wash it well add turmeric powder and salt.

2. Extract first, second and third milk from coconut.

3. In an earthen pot heat oil and sputter mustard seeds.

4. Add ingredients no: 5 and sauté it well.

5. When it is done, mix the powders in a little coconut milk and add to sauted contents.

6. Mix it well and add third extract of coconut milk.

7. When it boils, add second milk, mango pieces and pot tamarind.

8. When it boil wells, add fish pieces and mix well.

9. Close the lid and cook fish till it is done.

10. Reduce the flame and add first extract of coconut milk.

11. Check salt and add if needed extra, and take off from flame.

12. Heat a little oil and sauté ingredients no: 8.

13. Decorate your Easter Special Fish Curry with this oil.
