This refreshing Thai green salad is light, healthy and can be prepared on different occasions. Fish sauce is a staple ingredient used in Thai dishes and if you love it, you can try it at home. Fresh vegetables like capsicum and crunchy veggies add nutrition quotient to your diet too, and pairs best with light meals. 

Thai green salad with fish sauce dressing

Ingredients for Thai Green Salad:

  1. Sesame oil – 1 small spoon
    Lemon juice – 1 big spoon
    Sweet chilli sauce – 2 big spoons
    Fish sauce – 2 small spoons
  2. Salad cucumber – 1, after removing seeds
    Carrot – 1 medium
    Red capsicum – 1/2 of a medium
  3. Salad leaves – 200 g
  4. Onion – 1 medium, thinly sliced
  5. Coriander leaves – 1 1/2 cups
    Mint leaves, torn – 1 1/2 cups
    Sprouted beans – 1 cup
    Dry red chilli – 1–2, finely chopped
  6. Sesame seeds, dry roasted without oil – 2 tbsp

How to prepare Thai Green Salad?

  1. Mix the first ingredient well in a bowl. This is the dressing for your Thai salad.
  2. Cut the second set of ingredients into very thin, long strips.
  3. Arrange the salad leaves in a large bowl. Place the second set of ingredients and the onion on top.
  4. Sprinkle the fifth ingredients over this.
  5. Just before serving, drizzle the dressing and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
