Fish Kuruma with Chinese Blend recipe

Ingredients for Fish Kuruma with Chinese Blend:

  1. Fish – ½ kg
  2. Ginger-garlic paste – 2 big spoons
  3. Lemon juice – ½ tsp
  4. Turmeric powder – as needed
  5. Salt – as needed
  6. Corn flour – as needed
  7. Oil – for frying
  8. Onion cut into small pieces – 1 cup
  9. Celery chopped – 1 big spoon
  10. Cashew paste – 3 big spoons
  11. Kak kas paste – 1 small spoon
  12. Chilli powder – 1 small spoon
  13. Tomato sauce – 2 small spoons
  14. Coconut milk – 3 cups

How to prepare Fish Kuruma with Chinese Blend?

  1. Marinate fish pieces using a little garlic-ginger paste, salt, a little turmeric powder and lemon juice.
  2. Cover the fish pieces in corn flour powder and fry in hot oil. Never over-fry it.
  3. Heat oil and sauté well the onion, tomato and green chillies.
  4. When it fries to a light brown colour, add the remaining ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, tomato sauce and a little salt and sauté again.
  5. Add coconut milk, tomato sauce, cashew-kus kus pastes, chilli powder and a little turmeric powder and boil well. Add fish pieces and turn off the flame.
  6. If you feel the gravy is not thick, then add a little corn flour mixed with water to it.
