Sweet Meat Pathiri (Madhuramulla Irachi Pathiri)

Ingredients for Irachi Pathiri (Meat Pathiri):

1. Maida – 2 cups

2. Meat – 250 gms

3. Chilli powder – 1 small spoon

    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

    Salt – As required

    Ginger chopped – ½ inch piece

    Garlic chopped – 8 cloves

4. Oil – As required

5. Onion – ½ kg, finely chopped

    Ginger chopped – ½ inch piece

    Garlic chopped – 8 cloves

    Green chillies – 4

    Curry leaves – 1 stalk

6. Garam masala powder – A pinch

7. Eggs – 5

    Sugar – 2 big spoons

    Cardamom – 3, powdered

How to prepare Irachi Pathiri (Meat Pathiri)?

1. Clean chicken, cut it into small pieces and cook it adding ingredients no: 3.

2. When the contents completely cool off, blend it once to mince it. (Never grind it well).

3. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 5.

4. When the contents are well sauted, add garam masala powder followed by minced meat and sauté well.

5. This mixture is used as filling for pathiri.

6. Add lukewarm water to maida and prepare dough similar to poori.

7. Apply a little oil in your palm before you knead dough.

8. Make small balls from the dough and spread them slightly bigger than poori.

9. Take one pathiri in your palm, and place a big spoon of chicken filling and spread it.

10. Place a second pathiri on its top and stick the edges perfectly. Apply a little water to your fingers while doing so.

11. Continue the process for remaining pooris.

12. Heat oil and deep fry these pathiris till golden brown.

13. Beat ingredients no: 7 together and dip the fried pathiris in this solution.

14. Heat a pan, grease it and cook each pathiri till both sides are well fried.
