Padavalam Pachadi (Snake Gourd Pachadi)

 
It’s one of my favorite recipes from Vanitha, and I prepare this dish regularly. It’s a quick and delicious dish too.

Ingredients for Padavalam Pachadi (Snake Gourd Pachadi):

 
     1. Snake guard cut into small pieces – 1 cup
2. Green Chillies – 2
3. Ginger – 1 small piece
4. Coconut scrapped – ¼ cup
5. Curd – 1 cup
6. Salt – As needed
7. Coconut – 2 tsp
8. Mustard – ¼ tsp
         Urud daal (Black gram seeds) – ¼ tsp
         Red chillies – 3
 

Method of Preparation of Padavalam Pachadi (Snake Gourd Pachadi):

 
·        1. Cook snake gourd using salt and water.
·      2. Grind well in a mixer, ingredients 2-4.
·        3. Add the gravy and the curd to cooked snake gourd and mix well.
·      4. Heat oil and add ingredients 8 to it.
·        5. Fry it well and season snake gourd pachadi with this fried contents.
