Pachamulakk Mathi (Green Chillies – Sardine Curry)

Ingredients for Pachamulakk Mathi (Green Chillies – Sardine Curry):

1. Sardine – 4

2. Coconut oil – 1 big spoon

3. Mustard – ½ small spoon

    Fenugreek seeds – ¼ small spoon

    Fennel seeds – 1 small spoon

    Curry leaves – 2 stalks

4. Shallots chopped – 5

    Ginger chopped – 1 big piece

    Garlic chopped – 3 cloves

5. Pepper seeds and green chillies crushed – 5 each

    Coriander powder – 1 small spoon

    Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

    Green tomato – 1

6. Kudam Puli (Garcinia Cambogia) – 3 cloves

How to prepare Pachamulakk Mathi (Green Chillies – Sardine Curry)?

1. Clean fish and cut into small pieces.

2. Heat oil and splutter all ingredients listed under 3.

3. Add ingredients no: 4 to it, sauté well and then add curry powders along with green tomato.

4. Sauté the ingredients, till oil starts separating.

5. Now add 1 cup water, mix the contents well and allow it to boil.

6. Now add fish and kudam puli to it, and cook in low flame till it’s done.
