Macaroni Chicken Curry recipe

Ingredients for Macaroni Chicken Curry:

  1. Macaroni – 200 gm
  2. Chicken cut into small pieces – 1 kg
  3. Onion sliced – 7-8
  4. Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tsp
  5. Chicken masala – as needed
  6. Green chillies split into two – 8-9
  7. Coconut milk – 1/2 cup
  8. Coriander leaves – a handful
  9. Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
  10. Coconut oil – 1 big spoon
  11. Mustard – 1 tsp
  12. Pepper powder – 1 -1.5 tsp
  13. Salt – as needed

Method of preparation of Macaroni Chicken Curry:

  1. Heat 5 cups of water, and cook macaroni, adding salt and a small spoonful of oil.
  2. When it’s cooked, drain the water, sprinkle cold water and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil and sputter mustard seeds.
  4. Sauté ginger-garlic paste, onions, green chillies and chicken masala.
  5. When the onion turns golden brown, add the chicken pieces and cook well.
  6. When it’s almost done, add coconut milk, curry leaves and coriander leaves and stir the contents well.  
  7. Cook for a few minutes.
  8. Add macaroni along with pepper powder, and turn the flame off.
  9. Stir the contents well and serve hot.
