Ingredients for Macaroni Chicken Curry:
- Macaroni – 200 gm
- Chicken cut into small pieces – 1 kg
- Onion sliced – 7-8
- Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Chicken masala – as needed
- Green chillies split into two – 8-9
- Coconut milk – 1/2 cup
- Coriander leaves – a handful
- Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
- Coconut oil – 1 big spoon
- Mustard – 1 tsp
- Pepper powder – 1 -1.5 tsp
- Salt – as needed
Method of preparation of Macaroni Chicken Curry:
- Heat 5 cups of water, and cook macaroni, adding salt and a small spoonful of oil.
- When it’s cooked, drain the water, sprinkle cold water and keep it aside.
- Heat oil and sputter mustard seeds.
- Sauté ginger-garlic paste, onions, green chillies and chicken masala.
- When the onion turns golden brown, add the chicken pieces and cook well.
- When it’s almost done, add coconut milk, curry leaves and coriander leaves and stir the contents well.
- Cook for a few minutes.
- Add macaroni along with pepper powder, and turn the flame off.
- Stir the contents well and serve hot.
