Idiyoonni recipe

Ingredients for Idiyoonni:

1. Raw rice – 500 gm

2. Water – 2 cups

3. Salt – For taste

4. Scrapped coconut – ½ cup

5. Jaggery grated – ½ cup

6. Coconut milk – For cooking

How to prepare Idiyoonni?

1. Boil water, adding sufficient salt.

2. Add rice flour to it and close it for a few minutes.

3. Mix it well and take it off the flame.

4. When it cools a little bit, knead the dough till it turns soft.

5. Make big-sized balls from them and cook in coconut milk.

6. Using the idiyappam maker, press each ball on a serving plate to prepare noolappam-like structures.

7. Sprinkle jaggery and grated coconut on its top, mix it well, and serve.
