Tomato Fish

Ingredients for Tomato Fish:

1. Fish – 1 kg

2. Ginger – 3-inch piece

    Garlic – 6 cloves

    Red chilli powder – 3 big spoons

    Vinegar – ½ cup

    Salt – For taste

3. Oil – For preparation

4. Cashews – 50 gm

    Green chillies – 6, chopped fine

    Garlic – 8, chopped

5. Onions – ¾ kg, chopped

6. Tomato sauce – ¼-1/2 cup

    Water – 1 cup

7. Soya sauce – 1 small spoon

    Red food colour – As needed (optional)

How to prepare Tomato Fish?

1. Clean fish and cut into small pieces.

2. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 2 to prepare the masala.

3. Take a little masala from it and marinate fish pieces.

4. Heat oil and fry ingredients no: 4, and keep aside.

5. In the remaining oil, fry fish pieces for 3 minutes and keep aside.

6. Fry onions till golden brown and keep aside.

7. In the remaining oil, sauté the remaining masala till oil clears.

8. Add tomato sauce and 1 cup water and boil the contents.

9. When the contents boil well, add fried onions, soya sauce and food colour and mix well.

10. Add fish pieces and cook it well.

11. Decorate your fish curry using fried ingredients no: 4.

Ingredients for Tomato Fish (Recipe 2):

1. Fish – ½ kg

2. Fish masala – 2 big spoons

    Salt – For taste

3. Oil – As required

4. Tomatoes – 4

    Onions – 2

    Garlic – 6 cloves

5. Lemon juice – From 1 lemon

    Sugar – A pinch

    Coriander leaves chopped – ¼ cup

How to prepare Tomato Fish (Recipe 2)?

1. Clean fish and cut into small pieces.

2. Add a big spoon of fish masala and salt, and marinate fish pieces.

3. Allow it to rest for half an hour.

4. Fry fish in hot oil. Never over-cook it.

5. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 4

6. Heat oil in another pan and sauté the gravy.

7. Add remaining fish masala, and sauté again.

8. Add fried fish to it and wrap well with fish gravy.

9. Close the lid and cook fish in low flame.

10. When it’s done, put off the flame.

11. Add ingredients no: 5, mix well and serve hot.
