Ingredients for Prawns – Green Mango Curry (Chemmeen – Maanga Curry):
- Prawns – 250 gm
- Green chillies split into 2 – ½ cups
Shallots – 5, chopped
Curry leaves – 2 stalks
Ginger – 1 small piece, chopped
Red chilli powder – ½ small spoon
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
Salt – For taste - Green mango (good sour taste) – 2, sliced lengthwise
- Thick Coconut milk – From 1 coconut
- Oil – 1 big spoon
- Mustard – ¼ small spoon
Shallots – 2, chopped
Curry leaves – 1 stalk
How to prepare Prawns – Green Mango Curry (Chemmeen – Maanga Curry)?
- Clean prawns and mix with ingredients no: 2.
- Cook in an earthen pot, adding sufficient water.
- When it’s done, add cut mango pieces and cook again.
- Add coconut milk, keep stirring and take the curry off the flame before it starts boiling.
- Heat oil and temper ingredients no: 6.
- Add it to your prawn curry and mix well.
