
Banana Puri & Mushroom Masala
Ingredients for Mushroom Masala:
1. Onions – ½, chopped
2. Ginger paste – ½ tsp
3. Garlic paste – ½ tsp
4. Green chillies – 2
5. Tomatoes – 2
6. Cashews – ¼ cup
7. Garam masala – ½ tsp
8. Red chilli powder – 1.5 tsp
9. Kasuri methi – 1 tsp
10. Mushroom – 8
11. Salt and coriander leaves – As required
12. Sugar- ¼ tsp
13. Oil – 2 tablespoons
How to prepare Mushroom Masala?
1. Make a fine paste of onions, ginger paste, garlic paste and green chillies using a mixer.
2. Make a fine paste of cashews and tomatoes separately.
3. Heat oil in a big kadai and sauté onion paste for 7 minutes on a medium flame.
4. Sauté it till the raw smell goes out.
5. Add cashew-tomato paste, garam masala powder, chilli powder and kasuri methi to the pan.
6. Sauté the contents for the next 7 minutes on a low flame.
7. Add mushrooms, half a cup water, sugar and salt to it.
8. Cook mushrooms in a low flame for 10 minutes (till mushrooms are well cooked).
9. Take off from flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
