Prawns Dip Fry Chemmeen Mukkiporichath

Ingredients for Prawns Dip Fry (Chemmeen Mukkiporichath):

  1. Prawns cleaned – ½ kg
  2. Soya sauce – 1 small spoon
    Chilli sauce – 1 big spoon
    Garlic crushed – 1 big spoon
    Salt – ½ small spoon
  3. Egg – 1
  4. Maida – 3 big spoons
    Corn flour – 5 big spoons
    Water – 2 big spoons
    Soda bicarbonate – ½ small spoon
    Salt – 1/2 small spoon
  5. Oil – For frying

How to prepare Prawns Dip Fry (Chemmeen Mukkiporichath)?

  1. Mix together ingredients no: 2 and marinate prawns using this gravy.
  2. Separate the white and yellow yolks of the egg.
  3. Beat well the white yolk.
  4. Add yellow yolk to ingredients no: 4 and blend well.
  5. Add white yolk slowly to this mixture. This is the batter used for deep-frying.
  6. Dip marinated prawns in this batter.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry prawns in hot oil.
