Penne Paste with Dates Kalan

Ingredients for Penne Paste with Dates Kalan:

1. Penne pasta – 80 gm

2. Coconut scrapped – ½ cup

    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

    Pepper powder – 1 small spoon

3. Coconut oil – 1 big spoon

4. Mustard – ¼ small spoon

    Curry leaves – A little

5. Dates – 30 gm

6. Curd – 3 cups

7. Fenugreek powder – ½ small spoon

8. Fresh cream – 30 milli

9. Salt – For taste

10. Parmesan cheese grated – 20 gm

How to prepare Penne Paste with Dates Kalan?

1. Grind ingredients no: 2 and get a fine paste.

2. Cook pasta adding sufficient water, salt and turmeric powder.

3. Cook for 7 minutes and strain excess water.

4. Heat coconut oil in a pan, and sputter mustard seeds. Add curry leaves.

5. Add dates and coconut paste, and sauté for 2 minutes.

6. Put off the flame and add curd. Mix well.

7. Add pasta and fenugreek powder and mix again.

8. Add fresh cream to hot olan.

9. Check chilli and salt, temper with oil and decorate with grated parmesan cheese.
