Palak Kofta Curry

Ingredients for Palak Kofta Curry:

1. Potato – ½ kg

2. Palak – 12 small bundles, chopped fine

3. Bread – 4 slices

4. Salt, Garam masala powder – As needed

5. Onion – 2, medium sized

    Tomato – 2, medium sized

    Ginger – 1-inch piece

    Garlic – 6-8 cloves

    Cardamom – 2

    Cloves – 3

    Cinnamon – 1-inch piece

6. Oil – 2 big spoons

7. Cumin seeds – ½ small spoon

8. Coriander powder – ¾ small spoon

    Chilli powder – ½ small spoon

    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

    Salt – As required

9. Curd – ½ cup, beaten

10. Cilandro chopped – To decorate

How to prepare Palak Kofta Curry?

1. Cook potatoes and palak and drain excess water.

2. Smash potatoes and half quantity of cooked palak.

3. Dip bread in water once and squeeze water.

4. Add this bread to potato-spinach mixture.

5. Add garam masala powder and salt and make small balls.

6. Mix the remaining spinach with ingredients no: 5 and grind to a fine paste.

7. Heat oil in a pan and fry cumins.

8. Add spinach paste, and keep stirring.

9. Add ingredients no: 8 and cook the contents.

10. When a thin layer of oil appears on the surface, add beaten curd.

11. Heat the contents and take off from flame.

12. Deep fry kofta balls till they turn golden brown.

13. Transfer the koftas to a serving plate.

14. Pour the curry on its top and decorate with coriander leaves.
