Ney Pathiri & Mutton Dum

Ingredients for Ney Pathiri:

1. Water – 1.5 cups

2. Rice flour – 1 cup

    Coconut scrapped – 1 big spoon

    Fennel seeds – 1 small spoon

    Shallots chopped – 2 small spoons

    Salt – For taste

3. Coconut oil – As required

How to prepare Ney Pathiri?

1. Boil water and put off the flame.

2. Add ingredients no: 2 to it, mix well and prepare soft dough.

3. Make small balls and spread using palms.

4. Deep fry in hot oil.

Ingredients for Mutton Dum:

1. Mutton – 1 kg, cut into pieces

2. Salt – For taste

    Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon

3. Coconut oil – 1 cup

4. Onions chopped – 1 kg

    Green chillies chopped – As required

    Tomato – 2, chopped

5. Turmeric powder – 1 small spoon

    Garam masala powder – 1 small spoon

    Coriander powder – 1 big spoon

6. Curd – ½ cup

    Lemon juice – From 1 lemon

How to prepare Mutton Dum?

1. Rub mutton with salt and turmeric, and pressure cook it in low flame for 15 minutes.

2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté ingredients no: 4.

3. Add the powders and sauté again.

4. Add curd and lemon juice, and mix the contents well.

5. Add mutton and cook till it’s done.
