Kozhuva Peera Vachath

Ingredients for Kozhuva Peera Vachath:

1. Anchovy (Kozhuva) – 12 kg

2. Ginger chopped – 1 piece

    Green chillies chopped – 10

    Shallots chopped – 10 gm

    Coconut scrapped fine – 1.5 cups

    Pot tamarind – 4 cloves

    Salt – For taste

3. Coconut oil – 3 tablespoons

4. Curry leaves – 1 stem

How to prepare Kozhuva Peera Vachath?

1. Clean the fish.

2. Mix ingredients no: 2 together, using hands. Mix well.

3. Transfer the contents to an earthen pot.

4. Add anchovy fish to it, along with ½ cup water and mix well.

5. Place in flame.

6. Pour coconut oil on top, and add curry leaves.

7. Reduce the flame, and close the lid.

8. Cook till the fish is well cooked.
