Koottucurry recipe

Ingredients for Koottucurry:

1. Bengal gram (Kadala paripp) โ€“ ยฝ cup

    Well-ripened green banana โ€“ 1, cut into pieces

    Elephant yam โ€“ 25 gms, cut into pieces

    Cucumber โ€“ 100 gm, cut into pieces

2. Coconut โ€“ 1, grated

3. Cumin seeds โ€“ ยฝ small spoon

4. Pepper powder โ€“ 1 small spoon

    Curry leaves โ€“ 1 stalk

5. Coconut oil โ€“ As required

6. Mustard โ€“ ยฝ small spoon

    Red chillies โ€“ 2, broken

    Curry leaves โ€“ 1 stalk

How to prepare Koottucurry?

1. Cook ingredients no: 1 in a pressure cooker, adding sufficient water.

2. Allow the pressure to drop to zero.

3. Add half the amount of grated coconut and cumin seeds to it, and ingredients no: 4.

4. Mix the contents well and boil well.

5. Heat coconut oil in a pan and sautรฉ ingredients no: 6.

6. Add the remaining coconut to it, fry till it turns red and add it to the Koottucurry.

7. Mix well and take the curry from the flame.
