Easy-to-Make Hair Oils At Home

Hair oils play a crucial role in promoting healthy hair growth. Often, hair doesn’t receive the necessary care, which can lead to hair fall, breakage, or dandruff. However, with a little time and minimal expense, you can prepare some effective hair oils at home.

Onion Oil – Helps prevent hair fall, promotes hair growth, and delays premature greying.

To prepare this:

  1. Heat half a cup of coconut oil.
  2. Add half a cup of finely ground onion to the oil.
  3. Cook the mixture until the onion turns light brown.
  4. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  5. Once done, turn off the stove and let it cool completely.
  6. Strain the oil and store it in an airtight bottle for future use.

Rosemary Oil – Rosemary helps promote hair growth and thickness. You can easily prepare rosemary oil at home.

To prepare this:

  1. Pour one cup of coconut oil into a microwave-safe glass bowl.
  2. Add half a cup of rosemary to the oil.
  3. Boil water in a separate pan and place the glass bowl over it to use the double heating method.
  4. Once the rosemary aroma rises, remove the bowl from the heat.
  5. Strain the oil and store it for use.

Fenugreek Oil – Fenugreek is highly beneficial for hair growth and scalp health. Regular use of fenugreek water for hair washing or applying a fenugreek paste made by soaking it in rice water can effectively improve hair health.

To prepare fenugreek oil:

  1. Heat half a cup of coconut oil.
  2. Once heated, remove it from the stove and add one tablespoon of fenugreek seeds.
  3. Allow the oil to cool down.
  4. Strain the oil and store it for use.

This oil is also effective in reducing dandruff.

Aloe Vera Oil

Aloe vera is highly effective for scalp health and hair growth. Besides hair care, it also plays a vital role in maintaining healthy skin.

To prepare aloe vera oil:

  1. Cut the aloe vera leaf and wash it thoroughly. Let it hang for 15 minutes to drain the yellowish resin.
  2. Remove the thorns, chop the aloe vera into small pieces, and blend it into a paste.
  3. Mix one cup of aloe vera paste with one cup of coconut oil.
  4. Heat this mixture on low flame, stirring continuously.
  5. Once the aloe vera content thickens and rolls up, remove from the heat and strain the oil.

Your aloe vera oil is now ready for use.
