Cheeppappam Recipe 1:

Ingredients for Cheeppappam:
- Rice flour – ¼ kg
- Ghee – 1 small spoon
- Egg – 1, beaten
Coconut milk – Approximate 1 cup
Salt – For taste - Sesame seeds – ½ big spoon
- Coconut oil – As needed
For Vilayikkal:
- Sugar – ¾ cup
Water – 1/2 cup
How to prepare Cheeppappam?
- Take rice flour in a bowl and add ghee.
- Using fingers, blend flour with ghee.
- Add beaten egg, salt, and coconut milk.
- Mix the contents and prepare a thick dough.
- Make grape-sized balls and spread them as small circle shapes.
- Using the back side of a fork, press on them and prepare shell shapes.
- Deep fry them in hot oil till they turn light brown.
- Boil sugar and water together to prepare sugar syrup.
- When sugar completely melts, reduce the flame.
- Add fried cheeppappam to it, mix well and turn off the flame.
- Spread it in that container itself and allow it to cool completely.
- Store your cheeppappam in air-tight containers.

Ingredients for Cheeppappam (Recipe 2):
- Paalappam Podi (Fine Rice Flour) – 500g
Baking Powder – 1 Small Spoon - Eggs – 2 (Beaten Well)
Salt – As Required
Coconut Milk – As Required - Sesame Seeds – 2 Small Spoons
- Oil – For Frying
How to prepare Cheeppappam (Recipe 2)?
- Mix the Paalappam Podi and baking powder gently using your fingers.
- Add the beaten eggs, salt, and coconut milk to this mixture and knead into a dough of medium consistency.
- Add the sesame seeds and mix well, then shape the dough into small balls.
- Place each ball on the tip of a fork and press gently to form a shell-like shape.
- Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- Remove and drain excess oil before serving.
