Almond Halwa recipe

Ingredients for Almond Halwa (Badam Halwa):

  1. Almonds – 1 cup
  2. Milk – 1 cup
  3. Water – 1 cup
    Sugar – 1 cup
    Cardamom powder – 2 pinches
    Saffron – 1 big pinch
  4. Ghee – ¾ cup

How to prepare Almond Halwa (Badam Halwa)?

  1. Soak almonds for some hours.
  2. Peel off the skin and make a fine paste, adding milk.
  3. If needed, you can add more milk while grinding.
  4. Heat ingredients no: 3 in a thick-bottomed pan.
  5. When sugar melts completely, reduce the heat to medium flame.
  6. Add badam-milk paste to it and stir continuously to avoid burning at the bottom.
  7. When the halwa thickens, add ghee at regular intervals, little by little.
  8. You can add ghee when the halwa sticks to the side of the pan.
  9. When halwa starts separating from the edges, and bubbles start appearing, take it off the flame.
  10. You can serve almond halwa hot and chilled, as you desire.

Note: You can add yellow food colour if you want.
