A few tips to increase lung capacity

A lot of fresh air to breathe – it’s always a better idea for good health. To increase lung capacity means the ability to breathe a lot of fresh air, and here are a few tips.

1. Train yourself to take long breathes. When you hold breaths for a long time, automatically your lungs will expand more resulting in increase of lung capacity.

2. Stand erect, and breathe as much air you can and your lungs can hold. Do the process slowly. Hold your hands in your waist and retain the air up to 20 seconds, and then release it. Repeat it four times. If you do this exercise regularly in the morning, it helps a lot to expand your lung capacity.

3. Lay down on back and place one hand in your chest and second one in stomach. Breathe through nose and leave it through mouth. Repeat this exercise.

4. There are a few more simple exercises as well, such as blowing balloons and blowing paper to small distances. You can practise it regularly to improve your lung capacity. These exercises explained above need a lot of breathing. So regularly practising these exercises can give better results and improve the strength of lungs.
