4 Curries Using Rice Gruel Water
Recipe 1: Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, dried red chili, crushed garlic, chopped shallots, and crushed bird’s eye chili. Sauté well, then add drumstick leaves and stir-fry. Add salt and rice gruel water as needed. Alternatively, you can boil the rice gruel water first and then add the drumstick leaves to cook. This can also be used as a soup.
Recipe 2: Heat oil in a pan and sauté mustard seeds, urad dal, dried red chili, chopped spinach leaves, green chili, and curry leaves. After roasting black pepper powder and turmeric powder, add rice gruel water and a little coconut milk.
Recipe 3: Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, chopped shallots, curry leaves, turmeric powder, crushed dried red chili, and chili powder. Sauté well until aromatic. Then, add chopped tomatoes and a little tamarind water. After that, pour in rice gruel water. Make sure to use plenty of shallots. Once it reaches a slightly thick consistency, remove from heat.
Recipe 4: Crush ginger, green chili, lime leaves, shallots, curry leaves, and salt together until well combined. You can also gently mash them instead. Add a little buttermilk and rice gruel water to this mixture. In a separate pan, heat oil and temper mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, and dried red chili. Pour this seasoning over the buttermilk-rice gruel mixture.
