Date Rolls With Custard Cream recipe

Ingredients for Date Rolls With Custard Cream:

1. Dates – 200 gm,

    Marie biscuit – 200 gm, powdered

    Condensed milk – 1 tin

For custard cream:

2. Milk – ½ litre

3. Sugar – 3 or 4 big spoons

    Custard powder – 2 big spoons

4. Dates chopped fine – To decorate

How to prepare Date Rolls with Custard Cream?

1. Remove seeds from dates and cut lengthwise.

2. Mix together ingredients no: 1 and transfer the contents to a foil paper.

3. Roll it to a log-like single piece and completely wrap using foil paper.

4. Place it in the refrigerator for 1 hour. This is the date roll.

5. Mix ½ cup milk, custard powder and sugar and make a paste.

6. Boil the remaining milk and turn off the flame.

7. Add custard paste to it and mix well.

8. Place it back in the flame and keep stirring to avoid lumps.

9. When the contents thicken, stir them for one more minute till it turns soft.

10. Check the sweetness at this stage.

11. Take the dates roll from the refrigerator and cut into ½ inch slices.

12. Place them in a serving plate and pour custard sauce on top.

13. Sprinkle a few date pieces.

14. Place it back in the refrigerator. Serve chilled.
