Vegetable Rice

Ingredients for Vegetable Rice:

1. Basmati rice – 1 cup

2. Carrot, potato, green peas, beans chopped into pieces – ½ cup

3. Onion chopped – 1

    Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp

    Cloves – 3

    Cardamom – 2

    Cinnamon – 1-inch piece

4. Dalda (Vanaspati) – 2 tsp

5. Salt – As per taste

6. Fried cashews and raisins – To garnish

How to prepare Vegetable Rice?

1. Heat dalda in a pressure cooker, and sauté ingredients no: 3 one after another.

2. Add vegetables and sauté again.

3. Add 1.5 cup water and salt and allow to boil.

4. Add basmati rice and close the lid.

5. When steam comes out, put the weight and put off the flame.

6. After 20 minutes, open the lid.

7. Stir the contents well and garnish with fried cashews and raisins.
