Lemon Sadam (Naranga Sadam) recipe

Ingredients for Lemon Sadam (Naranga Sadam):

1. Raw rice/Parboiled rice – ¼ kg

2. Sesame oil – 50 gm

3. Red chillies – 2, broken

    Mustard – ½ small spoon

    Bengal gram – 2 big spoons

4. Green chillies – 3, chopped fine

    Ginger – 1 small piece, chopped finely

    Curry leaves – 2 stems

5. Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

    Asafoetida powder – ¼ small spoon

    Salt – For taste

6. Lemon juice – Extracted from one big lemon

How to prepare Lemon Sadam (Naranga Sadam)?

1. Cook rice and drain excess water.

2. Spread rice on a plate, add 2 spoons of oil, and allow to cool.

3. Heat oil and sauté ingredients no: 3, followed by ingredients no: 4, and add to rice.

4. Add the powders, salt, and lemon juice and mix well.

5. Serve hot.
