
Ingredients for Festive Chicken:
- Chicken -1 kg
- Garlic – 15 cloves
Ginger – 1-inch piece
Green chillies – 4 - Chilli powder – 3 small spoons
Coriander powder – 3 small spoons
Turmeric powder – ½ small spoon
Pepper powder – ½ small spoon - Fennel seeds – 1 small spoon
Cloves – 4
Cardamom – 4
Cinnamon – 2-inch piece - Oil – As required
- Onions – 4, chopped
- Mustard – 1 small spoon, ground
- Tomatoes – 3, finely chopped
Curry leaves – 2 stalks
Salt – As required - Coriander leaves chopped – To decorate
How to prepare Festive Chicken?
- Cut chicken into desired pieces.
- Crush ingredients no: 2.
- Add a little water to ingredients no: 3 to make a fine paste.
- Grind together ingredients no: 4 and keep aside.
- Heat the oil and sauté onions. Then add crushed ingredients no: 2 and sauté for a while.
- Add mustard paste to it and sauté for a few moments.
- Add the paste of ingredients no: 3 (powders) to it and sauté again.
- When you get a pleasant aroma, add the fine paste of ingredients no: 4 to it.
- Sauté the ingredients well and add ingredients no: 8 along with the chicken pieces.
- Sauté for a while and then cook the chicken on a low flame. There is no need to add excess water.
- When the chicken is well-cooked, take it off the flame and decorate with coriander leaves.
