Banoffee Pie recipe

Ingredients for Banoffee Pie:

1. Chocolate biscuit (bourbon or hide & seek) – 15-20

    Melted butter – ¼ cup

2. Philadelphia cream cheese – 400 gm or 250 gm cheese spread + 100 gm powdered paneer

    Sugar – 2/3 cup

3. Cornflour – 2 big spoons

4. Eggs – 3

5. Robusta smashed – ¾ cup

6. Cream – ½ cup

7. Vanilla – 2 small spoons

8. Instant coffee powder – 2 small spoons

For toffee sauce:

9. Condensed milk – 1 tin

    Butter – 100 gm

    Golden syrup or roasted sugar (brown coloured) – 2 big spoons

    Vanilla – 1 small spoon

How to prepare Banoffee Pie?

1. Powder the biscuits and melt butter.

2. Mix both ingredients in a tray and place in the refrigerator till it sets.

3. Beat cream cheese and sugar together.

4. Add corn flour to it, mix it well, followed by eggs one by one.

5. Mix smashed banana, cream, vanilla and coffee powder together in a bowl.

6. Add this banana mixture to the cream cheese – sugar mixture, and mix them.

7. Pour this mixture on the refrigerated biscuit base and bake for approximately 40-45 minutes, till the pie sets perfectly.

8. Allow your pie to cool completely.

9. Mix ingredients no: 9 and cook on a low flame till the contents thicken. Your toffee sauce is ready.

10. Pour a thin layer of toffee sauce on its top and serve.
