Tanveer Ghani is a British Asian actor who appears in British films and TV shows. He played the role of Jawaharlal Nehru in 2017 British-Indian historical drama film, Viceroy’s House directed by Gurinder Chadha, which was screened at international film festivals. The movie also had a dubbed Indian version Partition: 1947, released on the occasion of 70th Indian Independence Day. In 2019 he marked his Bollywood debut through the investigation thriller, Badla, where he played the memorable and pivotal role of Nirmal, the father of a missing son and Amrita Singh’s lovable husband, a car mechanic.

Tanveer Ghani got into an active film career in the early 1980s. BBC hospital drama Angels, released in 1982, was one of his early notable roles.

As an actor, he rose to prominence in the second half of the 1980s, after he appeared in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 1986 to 1987. He has been a part of several British-Indian productions, which starred many British-Indian actors, and also a few BBC sitcoms and series, such as Love Hurts.
