
Ingredients for Steamed Orange Cake:
1. Orange with deep orange colour – 4
2. Maida – 100 gm
Baking powder – 1 small spoon
3. Sugar – 100 gm
4. Butter – 50 gm
5. Eggs – 2
6. Orange skin grated – 2 small spoons
Orange essence – 1 small spoon
7. Chocolate sauce – As required
How to prepare Steamed Orange Cake?
1. Cut the oranges into two halves.
2. Without breaking the skin, squeeze juice from oranges.
3. The left orange skin is used as the cups to prepare the orange cake.
4. Blend together maida and baking powder.
5. Using a mixer, prepare sugar powder.
6. Add butter to the sugar powder and beat well.
7. When it foams, add eggs one by one and beat again.
8. When foam forms again, add the maida mixture little by little and beat slowly.
9. When it foams, add orange juice and ingredients no: 6.
10. Mix the contents well to prepare the batter.
11. In a steamer, first place orange cups.
12. Pour batter into the cups. Fill it full.
13. Steam cook for 15-20 minutes.
14. When it’s done, take the cups from the steamer and allow them to cool.
15. Pour chocolate sauce on top and serve.
How to prepare Chocolate Sauce?
1. Beat together ¼ cup of cocoa powder and 1 big spoon of maida.
2. Add 1 big spoon of butter to 1 cup of milk and boil the contents.
3. Add the maida-coco mixture to it little by little and keep stirring.
4. When the sauce thickens, add a pinch of salt.
5. Stir once again and turn off the flame.
6. Keep stirring till the sauce cools completely.
