Shruti Sharma is a former model and actress who acted in Bollywood and Tamil films. A successful model, she was the first runner-up of the 2002 Femina Miss India pageant. After earning the title, Miss India World 2002, she represented India at the Miss World Competition 2002 held at London. She was one of the semi-finalists at the Miss World beauty pageant. As an actress, she is best known for her lead role in the Tamil commercial hit, Muruga (2007) and the supporting role in the Bollywood film, Tezaab – The Acid of Love, starring Urmila. Shruti Sharma hails from Delhi, and was born in 1981. She did her schooling at Mussoorie, and then graduated from JMC, Delhi. She started her modeling career and later appeared in a few movies. She came to limelight after finishing second at Femina Miss India 2002, which offered her many modeling and film assignments. She first appeared in a movie alongside Parvin Dabas, followed by Tezaab – The Acid of Love in 2005. She was also seen in Govinda starrer, Money Hai Toh Honey Hai (2008).

She made her south Indian debut with Muruga (2007), a Tamil movie in a lead role opposite Ashok. The movie marked directorial debut of film director R. T. Neason. Even though the movie was a commercial hit, she failed to receive more offers and she faded away from silver screen very soon.

1. Before appearing in the 2002 Femina Miss India pageant, where she became the first runner-up, she also appeared in the 2001 Femina Miss India pageant. But she couldn’t make any achievements, and was misplaced.

3. As a successful ramp model, she has appeared in the Lakme Indian Fashion Week, and has worked with many leading fashion designers of the country.
