Poricha Curry

Ingredients for Poricha Curry:

1. Elephant yam – 200 gm

    Drumstick – 100 gm

2. Toor dal – 90 gm

3. Coconut scrapped – ¼ cup

    Cumin seeds – ¼ small spoon

    Green chillies chopped – 2 small spoons

4. Coconut oil – 2 big spoons

5. Mustard – ¼ small spoon

    Parboiled rice (Puzhukkalari) – 1 small spoon

    Red chillies – 2

    Curry leaves – 1 stem

How to prepare Poricha Curry?

1. Cut yam into 1-inch square pieces.

2. Cut drumstick into 2-inch pieces.

3. Cook dal, yam and drumstick adding sufficient quantity of water.

4. Make a fine paste of ingredients no: 3 and add to cooked vegetables.

5. Cook in low flame till gravy thickens and put off the flame.

6. Temper ingredients no: 5 in oil and add to curry.
