Papaya Halwa
Ingredients for Papaya Halwa:
1. Semolina – 50 gm
2. Well ripen papaya – 50 gm
3. Sugar – 150 gm
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
4. Ghee – 30 gm
5. Water – 60 milli
6. Cashews – 1 table spoon
Raisins – 1 table spoon
How to prepare Papaya Halwa?
1. Soak semolina in water for 2 hours.
2. Cook papaya and smash well in a mixer.
3. Strain excess water from semolina.
4. Add papaya pulp and ingredients no: 3 to it.
5. Mix well and place in low flame.
6. Keep stirring to void sticking in bottom.
7. Add ghee occasionally.
8. When halwa thickens and comes off from the sides of the pan, add raisins and cashews.
9. Mix well and put off the flame.
10. Grease a container and transfer hot halwa to it.
