Mango Sesame Curry - Pacha Maanga Ellu Curry

Ingredients for Pacha Maanga Ellu Curry (Green Mango Sesame Curry):

1. Sesame seeds – 2 small spoons

2. Green mango – 300 gm

    Salt – For taste

    Turmeric powder – ¼ small spoon

3. Coconut grated – 120 gm (1/2 cup)

    Black gram dal – 4 small spoons

    Red chillies – 2

4. Coconut oil – As required

5. Jaggery powder – 4 small spoons

6. Mustard – ¼ small spoon

    Red chillies – 2

    Curry leaves – 2 stems

How to prepare Pacha Maanga Ellu Curry (Green Mango Sesame Curry)?

1. Dry fry sesame seeds in a hot pan and blend it once in a mixer without adding water.

2. Cut the mango into small pieces, and cook it, adding salt and turmeric powder.

3. Fry ingredients no: 3 in a little oil and later make a fine paste.

4. Add this paste to cooked mango pieces and cook on a low flame.

5. When the curry thickens, add a little jaggery powder and mix well.

6. Temper ingredients no: 6 in oil and add to the curry.

7. Add sesame seed powder to the curry just before you serve.

8. Decorate with fried curry leaves and sesame seeds.
