Oats Idli recipe

Ingredients for Oats Idli:

1. Oats – 1 cup

2. Oil – 3 big spoons

3. Mustard – 1 small spoon

    Cumin – 1/2 small spoon

4. Black gram – 1/2 small spoon

    Bengal gram – 1 small spoon

    Curry leaves chopped – 1 big spoon

5. Ginger paste – 1/2 small spoon

    Green chillies chopped – 2

6. Carrot grated – 1

    Turmeric powder – 1/4 small spoon

7. Rava – ½ cup

8. Curd – ½ cup

    Water – 1.25 cups

    Salt – For taste

9. Eno fruit salt – 1/2 a small spoon

    Coriander leaves chopped – 2 big spoons

How to prepare Oats Idli?

1. Heat oats in a pan and allow to cool.

2. Powder it using a mixer. (No need to make fine powder)

3. Heat oil and sputter cumin and mustard.

4. Sauté ingredients no: 4, followed by ingredients no: 5.

5. Add carrot and turmeric powder and sauté again.

6. Add semolina to it, mix well, and reduce to low flame.

7. Add oats, mix well, and turn off the flame.

8. When it cools, add ingredients no: 8.

9. Allow the batter to rest for half an hour.

10. Add ingredients no: 9 and mix well.

11. Pour the batter into the moulds of the idli maker.

12. Steam cook for 15-20 minutes to get oats idlis.
