Madhurai Special Mutton Oil Chukka
Ingredients for Madhurai Special Mutton Oil Chukka:
1. Mutton cut into small pieces – 500 gm
2. Shallots chopped – 20 nos:
3. Chilli powder – 2 tsp
4. Pepper powder – 1 tsp
5. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
6. Gingerly oil – 150 gm
7. Salt and curry leaves – As required
How to prepare Madhurai Special Mutton Oil Chukka?
1. Pressure cook mutton adding salt, turmeric powder and sufficient water.
2. Sauté shallots using oil in a pan.
3. Add salt, chilli powder and pepper powder, and sauté again.
4. Add cooked mutton along with water to this mixture and mix well.
5. Cook the contents till water content is fully absorbed and add curry leaves.
6. Continue cooking till mutton chukka turns dry and fried well.
